Jig of the large EMS hosing parts / 巨大ハウジング製作用の治具

Making of the jig is the most important process in making something.
By the way, the Japanese for “jig” is “JIGU”/治具. I do not know which is the origin. Is it same as the “Taifu (台風) for “Typhoon”? or, Tsunami (津波) for “Tsunami”??

治具が出来たら製品も完成したも同然。治具は物作りにとって、それほど大切。 ところで、治具の英語は”jig”。 これって台風がTyphoonを借用したのと同じ?、それとも、津波がそのまま英語になったのと同じ?

今朝、中年(初老?^^;)のご夫妻が来店されたので、慌てて撤収しかけたら、「ぜひ太陽を見せてください。」とのこと。^^ 商売は忘れて、しばし太陽の黒点とプロミネンスを見ていただきました。 黒点はご夫妻とも一瞬で確認され、プロミネンスの方は、奥さんはすぐに確認されましたが、ご主人は見えなかったそうです。ご主人、黒点を見た後で、「黒点の横に白いミミズみたいなのが見えた。」とおっしゃっていました。^^; (その場で手持ちiPhoneでプロミネンスの写真を撮ってお見せしたら、ご主人も納得されていました。)

I haven’t contacted with you since purchase of EMS-Bino. Today I browsed your website and saw a lot of fabulous Binoscopes, which reminded me to write a letter about mine.

First of all, thanks for your great product.

In the fall of 2017, I started my plan of EMS-Binoscope. With the help of several friends, including Range and 2047 and others, my binoscope was finished in the spring of 2018. Up to now I have used it for one year and it is satisfactory.

The objectives of my binoscope are two set of Borg 107mm lens which included one piece of fluorite lens in each. One amazing feature of the Borg 107mm lens set is that the tube will be stretched out when used, while drew back when stored. So the 107mm binoscope could be very compact. The focusers are Feather Touch FTF3035.

My friend, whose online name is 2047, proposed the general conception for the binoscope and made the other components except the objective, focuser and EMS-Bino.

UV/IR cut filter 105mm

I have proved that UV/IR cut filter-82mm and R2 filter-82mm work as an excellent ERF equivalent  for the APM120-BINOCULAR. The effective aperture is 77mm at the set up.

Nextly, I wished to make the ERF-Equivalent for my 20cm-BINO, too. So, I searched for the largest filters available and found 105mm of the UV/IR CUT filter in the market.
But the problem is, neither of R2 nor R64 filter larger than 82mm is in the market. After the long period of search for the R2-Equivalent, I hit on 105mm of #29 dark red filter for the monochromatic photography in the Net market, and will try it with the UV/IR CUT filter. The effective aperture is 100mm.
