今回もEMS-UMのみのご提供です。鏡筒を無改造でBINOを実現するために、バレルは標準より短い12mmのタイプを、接眼スリーブはEMS-UL用の２インチスリーブセットを採用することで、限られたバックフォーカスを最大限に利用しながら最大視野の確保に成功しました。
計画段階から、根気よく取り組まれた成果です。　お見事！！

Fabulous photos of completion of the LZOS 152-BINO have arrived.

I would like to give the biggest applaud on the attitude of the CEO of the Telescope Maker himself taking the active part in making Binoscopes, and very eager to study the concerning affairs.
The frame-work looks very simple and light, but very rigid. The large trunnions will promise the smooth and steady operations.

TTS160のアームマウントの天面よりも2本の鏡筒が意図的に沈めてあるのが、写真から読み取れます。施工者の卓越した技量とセンスが見えます。
（まさにマイナスプロファイルの接続で重心を少しでも低くしようとする配慮が見えます。）

前回も動画をご紹介しているTTS-160マウントですが、実にユニークで美しい構造をしています。架台本体には、無駄な出っ張りが皆無。垂直回転軸が全く外に出ない構造。　どうして経緯台として機能するか？　軸が凹（テーパ穴）になっている。
アーム側から軸にテーパーシャンクを圧入して使用する。旋盤のテールストックと同じ原理。　驚くばかり。価格も見事だけど、それに上回る魅力がある架台だ。当方も１台発注したので、届いたら詳細を公開します。

90FL-BINO on Nexstar Mount, Follow-up report / 続報！

昨日実際に星空をNexstar８SEの架台でBORG　90FL-BINOを見てみました。
軽量中軸架台も自由でいいのですが、自動導入を使うと視野に対象の星雲星団が次々に来るので楽しくなりました。
最初の自動導入の設定がうまく行けば、あとは見たい物がどんどん視野に入ってきます。
少々ずれても１度以内ならSky-Safariで簡単にアラインメントできました。
海外に持っていくなら、もちろん軽量中軸架台と高度角センサー(AAS-2)ですが、国内で車で移動できるならNexstar８SEの架台かな、と思いました。　今回は星雲、星団中心で高倍率を試すことがありませんでしたが、 惑星や月が見れるタイミングで今度は高倍率を試してみたいと思います。
今回のNexstar８SEの架台と同時にBORGの直進ヘリコイドS(7315)も導入しました。
今までは軽量化した構造のため焦点の調整が面倒でしたが、接眼ヘリコイドの導入で（同焦点化したため）アイピースの交換が格段に便利になりました。　また２インチアイピースも同焦点化リングをお作りいただいたので、全てのアイピースの同焦点化が楽に達成できました。
今後ともこのBINOを愛用して行きたいと思います。

さっそく続報の動画を送ってくださいました。
Nexstar-8SE →Skyfi-3(WIFI-AD) →SkySafari on iPadで、従来とは一味違う”Goto”（自動導入）を実現されました。
このシステムは、Hα太陽観測にも理想的だと思われるので、私もいずれトライしてみようと思います。（もともと、この90FL-BINOは太陽観察兼用として開発しました。）

今回、Nexstar-8SE-MOUNTとの共用のためにご提供したパーツはこのＬ型ブラケットのみです。このブラケットだけで、軽量中軸架台(PushTo)とこのNexstar-8SE-MOUNT(Goto)との往復使用が、光軸の再現性を維持したまま可能になったわけです。

Urgent report of the successful setting on the Nexstar SE Mount.
The collimation was kept from the center mount, and had enough margin at zenith.
The next report will follow after doing the First Light.

地上を見る限り、軽量中軸架台からの換装も光軸を再現していました。

Lブラケットのみお作りしました。他のパーツは全て、90FL-BINO on Center Mount（軽量中軸架台）との共用です。構造上、両架台間の移動による光軸の再現性は完璧だと自負していましたが、ユーザーさんによって証明されました。
Lブラケットはこの例のように、中軸架台と同じ向きにセットすることも出来ますし、天地逆（これが一般的な向きですが）にして、鏡筒を水平アリガタに上乗せすることも出来ます。ただし、その場合は、左右の鏡筒を交換しないと、光軸が再現しない可能性があります。いずれにしても、これが最もシンプルな道具立てだと思います。

TSA120-BINO first light report / ファーストライトの感動！

Dear Tatsuro,

I thought you might like an update now that I have had some time to use the Bino-TSA120.
The binoscope is performing beautifully. The EMS-ULS system works so very well. It is a real pleasure to view through and has exceeded my expectations.
We recently compared the Bino-TSA with my friend’s Takahashi TOA150 which was equipped with the Baader MkV binoviewers.
The view through the binoscope was quite noticeably brighter than the TOA150 with binoviewers, in fact the Bino-TSA showed a brighter view than the TOA150 in mono-mode. Our targets were NGC104, NGC3372, NGC4755, M42 and M45.
The view of M42 in the binoscope was spectacular, with the ‘wings’ of nebula seemingly wrapped around the Trapezium stars.
The view showed also better contrast as well as the beautiful 3-dimensional effect.  Using a set of Takahashi Abbe and LE eyepieces at magnifications between 28x and 180x was easily accomplished and we had no trouble merging the images. The X & Y adjusters worked perfectly to ‘stack’ the images.
I have since then also spent a few hours viewing the Moon. Using the Takahashi Abbe 18mm eyepieces, the Moon took on a 3-dimensional look and seemed to just float there against the blackness of space almost as if I was in orbit above it.
I must also acknowledge Range for his excellent work in producing the cradle and adapters for me, they too are working faultlessly.
I have some photographs here, taken at the Mount Stromlo Observatory, which you may also use if you wish.

You wrote your experience so eloquently that I feel as if I were there.
The mount is the traditional one in structure, but very well made and it looks very rigid.
The craftsmanship of Range on the frame is superb, too.

英語が母国語でない方も、ぜひスルーしないでメールの原文をお読みください。簡潔な文で、EMS-BINOの魅力を雄弁に語っておられます。
15cm単鏡筒＋双眼装置を圧倒したのは当然（たとえ10cm-BINOでも同様だったでしょう）ですが、理屈で論破するよりも、ユーザーさんの実体験はより説得力があります。＾＾　分解能等を持ち出して、単体鏡筒＋双眼装置の優位性を主張する方もいますが、今回のリポートにはそれを十分に喝破するものがあります。
フレーミングや架台のご選択も、確実で無難な方法であり、初めてのBINOとして正解だったと思います。赤道儀の極軸を垂直に立てた構造の経緯台は、かなり昔からマニアが用いて来た方法ですが、ウェイトの代わりにもう一台のBINOをセットすると、シンメトリックな外観になりますね。架台としては、よりシンプルな解を探したくなりますが、蛇足を加えてせっかくの正月のリポートをスポイルしてはいけないので、今回はここまで。
これ以上の正月のプレゼントはありません。＾＾

絶好！

観まくりましたぁーっ！

AAS2+SKY-SAFARIのセットアップ、Wi-Fiを繋げるだけで一発でした。
お店までお邪魔した甲斐がありました。（もちろん全てのセッティングの仕方をご教授いただき、お話しできた事が大収穫でした。）   東京都　O  (2017,12/22)

Impression:
It is like eating A5 Wagyu beef: the taste is so delicious, that you do not want to swallow.
So, in short about first experience with binoscope made of two APO110ED F6.5 + EMS system:(EMS-ULS with IPD helicoid)
first – it is quite “delicious” and dangerous: once you see sky with both eye you would not want to go back to cyclopic observing. The danger comes from double cost + for set up.
second – adjusting binoscope (EMS system) to your IPD is like to start riding the bicycle, once you learn – it goes easy after.
third – keep in mind the binoscope is like your comfortable shoes – they fit mostly for you, it could be a bit unfriendly to other people. Usual telescope may serve better for public observing.
I did try a bit of “deep sky”¹ and the moon in early morning. Power: from 100X to 32X.
¹ there is no real deep sky at my backyard, have to get a house with better views.

TSA120-BINO by EMS-ULS

Dear Tatsuro,

My last components arrived this morning for the “Bi-Tak120” from Range in Shanghai so I have just finished assembly of the binoscope.
It is raining here and very cloudy so first light will have to wait a few days.
I will be using it initially on a Skywatcher AZ-EQ6GT mount but will later build a custom fork mount to have a lightweight system.
I will send some more pictures once I get a chance to take the scope outside.
Thank you once again for the fantastic EMS-ULS system, they fitted perfectly into the adapters Range designed and arranged for me.
