You should abandon stereotyped idea of inserting the 31.7mm barrel into the sleeves of the commercial large Binoculars to optimize the potential of the field of the Binocular.
My idea is not the adapter to diminish the 2-inch barrel to the 31.7mm one. This adapter will cover the total eye-helicoid instead of inserting to it, hence the maximum field will be captured.
